Where Bloggers Create 2012

Karen Valentine from http://www.mydesertcottage.com/ is once again hosting the amazing 'Where Bloggers Create' party. I can't wait to go and visit all the amazing workrooms.

My small space is shared with my Mom, Wendy and three kitty assistants. We use the dining room of our house as our studio. I make miniature teddy bears and in my spare time I do embroidery and other crafts.
This is my desk looking much tidier than normal.
My beautiful French Apothecary draws which I show off every year, my parents gave them to me as a birthday present after I fell in love with them when we where browsing around a brocante shop in Brittany.
The table between our desks is used as a display area. My dad made the spice rack for my Mom years ago and now it holds our collection of old sewing supplies and finished bears. The old window frame was dug out from a pile of rubbish in a field next door to the house we were living in in France.
Mishka the cat had to have his photo included, as soon as he saw I was taking photos he sat on the table and started posing.
This is the boring side of the room, all of Wendy's beads and jewellery making supplies and lots of books.
This is where I do most of my embroidery, the mirror helps reflect light back from the window across the room.
So this is my small space, thank you for visiting and I hope you enjoyed the tour.

Your space is wonderful. I love the way you separate the "business end" from the inspiration end! The apothocary and the old window frame are wonderful. Thank you for sharing.

Hi Megan - your bears are adorable and how beautiful that you share your space with your Mum! I also have to ask how you keep your feline assistants out of trouble in your room. If I have anything interesting on tables or shelves in my room it's stolen, played with and left broken or soggy in a corner lol. Thanks so much for the peek into your room, I love your amazing draw unit too!

Your bears are to die for, and it has taken me a while to get round to all of the studios. I am getting there though. I sure enjoyed the tour of yours. You are very talented!

What a lovely space you have. It feels warm and inviting, something I think is vital in a creative space. I have a small desk area in my bedroom as I live with my elderly Mom and our two cats. It isn't as large as I would like, but I am grateful to have a space at all! Thank you so much for sharing yours with us.

I am so happy to have found your lovely blog and to be following you now.

Maureen
